I first saw Morena Black on Twitter @tsmorenablack at the end of 2015 and knew immediately that she was going to do big things in the adult industry this year. Before her first major studio performance, I saw her performing live on Chaturbate room run with her trans girlfriend and found out that she also had her own chaturbate.com/morenablack broadcaster room while surfing around with my free registration. I was so impressed by the dual performance that I did a little review here on TS Dreamland. I’ve been a huge fan of the hostess of tschelseamarie.net for quite some time. I’ve blogged about Chelsea Marie many times before in fact. But this time around, I just had to learn more about the amazing new performer that Chelsea had such great chemistry with. I hope you’ll enjoy my interview with Morena Black:
Caramel: Hey, Morena! Let’s jump right in. When I saw that you identified as polyromantic, I literally had to Google it. The definition I found was, “Attracted to many, but not necessarily all sexes in a romantic way, but not necessarily in a sexual way. Not to be confused with panromantic, with pan- meaning “all” and poly-meaning “many” but not necessarily all. Used to disregard the idea that there are two binary genders or sexes.” For example, “It was difficult and confusing for Ted to come to grips with his asexuality due to the fact that he was also polyromantic.” Could you help clarify what polyromantic means to you?
Morena: Polyromantic to me means that I like sexual and physical contact with just about anyone I feel I can be more than friendly with. It’s somewhat changed and has taken shape recently into polyamoury, actually. I always wished to be polyamorous, in a polyamorous relationship, and that dream has come into realization. Sometimes I’d feel my heart was full of so much love and I’d be sad that I didn’t have anyone to give it to. Pornography brings out that polyromance really hard though, as I like to be passionate whenever I film with somebody. That’s why I love to talk and flirt a little with someone who wants to film with me, to build that chemistry and have it show through the camera.
Caramel: Thank you for clearing that up for me. What’s your ethnic background, Morena?
Morena: I am Brazilian and Puerto Rican. I claim Native American officially, however, because I have a very large percentage of Taino heritage. We weren’t all wiped out by the Spaniards, ya know!
Caramel: Are you a Florida native?
Morena: I am not, though this is more my home than anywhere I have lived. I was conceived in Puerto Rico, so I always joke I was “Made in Puerto Rico”! I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, then lived in Maine until I was 14 when my dad retired and decided to come down here for the weather. My hair has regretted the humidity ever since!
Caramel: How old were you when you first began to have questions about your gender identity?
Morena: I always dressed in my mom’s clothes and when my little sister got big enough, I’d wear her clothes. I got baptized when I was 8 years old because I thought Jesus would turn me into a girl if I let him into my heart. Maybe God put it in there for me because here I am! Who knows? I went online at age 11 and I found Transsexual.org, and took a fairly comprehensive test, and it told me I was a ‘Classic Transsexual’ and that I might want to do something about it. What was I going to do? I was about to be 12 for heaven’s sake! I started joining chat rooms and pretending to be a girl, having cyber sex with boys online. I always kinda thought I’d grown into a girl, but around high school, I realized that wasn’t going to happen and my body was going to fight me every step of the way. I had a pretty thin boy facade and always had at least some panties to alleviate my dysphoria. My dad wasn’t too excited the many times he found me dressed!
Caramel: I’ll bet. Mine was less than thrilled, too. I noticed that you travel a lot. Do you plan to continue residing where you do now long term, or would you consider moving to an area more conducive to an adult industry entertainer like LA or Vegas?
Morena: Leave the Forest? Oh, no way! Connecting to my native heritage, the particular forest I live in has a rich history, about 10,000 natives from around the south died here in a last stand against the Spanish by staying afloat in a lake and not giving up until they all drowned. I have been camping in these woods sicne I was a teen and I have a good connection with the land. I think I’m just stuck being a Florida gal!
Caramel: I’ve been living in central Florida for almost 14 years and I’ll bet you could tell me a zillion things I don’t yet know about it. Were you first attracted to boys, girls or both at around the same time?
Morena: I had my first kiss from a game of spin the bottle at 6 years old. The girl was maybe 10. I don’t remember much, but my cousin says she was cute so I was mackin’ them gals since a young age! I always had friends that were boys too, but I clearly remember my 7th birthday party. It was at McDonald’s and if you look at the picture that was taken, you’ll see I’m surrounded by girls! I HAD to be with girls all the time – it wasn’t even a conscious thing. It wasn’t until I was 18 did I finally get some boy action, and when I got fucked I have to say, I knew it was meant to be. It was also in a threesome with a girl and it both felt so right, I knew I was for sure split down the middle a true bisexual.
Caramel: Wow! I can’t get over how young you were when you realized you were bisexual. Moving on to gender identity, who were the first people you told what was going on with you and what were their reactions?
Morena: I always told my mom many times that I didn’t feel boyish at all. She always brushed it off as a ‘phase’, but how long do phases last, exactly? I always confided with her. She would sit on the computer for hours while I’d tell her everything. My mother continues to be a huge support and pillar in my life and she is so proud of me, even doing porn. I was quite embarrassed when she said “Well, honey, I had no idea you were so hung! You must have got it from your father.” I will forever be mortified. Thanks Mommy! My little sister as well. She took it hard for years, but now we are sisters.
Caramel: Was there a specific and memorable totally coming out moment to your parents?
Morena: Well, when the cat truly came out of the bag for real, I was 19 and trying to transition. I did the good old shock treatment and showed up to their house fully dressed, wig and all. Needless to say, my mom calmly told me to quit being dumb and my dad chased me out of the house. I’d already been living on my own as I got emancipated when I was 15. Both of them deny this ever happened, but it’s an extremely vivid memory for me.
Caramel: How old were you when you actually began dressing as a girl in public?
Morena: I started dressing as a girl in public when I was 18 living out of my van during my senior year in high school. All during high school, I’d wear panties and bras under my clothes and played with makeup once or twice to school, but with little success. I had my own wardrobe amassed hanging on a dowel rod that was conveniently inside my van. I gathered up the courage one night sleeping in a church parking lot to go to the gas station dressed. I looked bad and passed about as well as any boy in a dress could, which was none at all. I was scared witless, but I spent all my downtime dressed because I wanted to see how it’d be. Scary would describe it well.
Caramel: When you were younger, were you ever bullied?
Morena: Oh heck yeah! I got called sissy and fag all the time. I was a very skinny kid growing up and not strong like I am now. I’d always get beat up and chased from school to home and back. Moving to Florida changed that because I tried being everyone’s friend and it somewhat actually worked.
Caramel: As if being bullied isn’t bad enough, were there any other tough times for you in the early stages of your transition?
Morena: Like I was mentioning earlier, I tried at 19 to live full time. I was under house arrest, so I thought hey, I got all the time in the world to wear girl’s clothes now! I lived full time for six months until I had a violation and ended up in jail again. When I got out, I found all my clothes were stolen and everything I built up feminine wise was gone. I took it as a sign to not transition, but I couldn’t keep that 6 month experience out of my head.
Caramel: You’re strong, girl. Did you chose the DIY (do it yourself or with a Dr. Feelgood) hormone route and later seek professional medical assistance like I did, or was it strictly with a doctor’s help?
Morena: Yes, I actually did the DIY route and I’m so happy I found a lady doctor who has been a huge supporter and kinda like a second mom to me. She’s been awesome! She doesn’t know why I request so much STD testing, though.
Caramel: Ha ha. When did you first begin watching porn and what did you like watching the most?
Morena: I did not actually see any porn until I was 18, and I don’t even remember the first time I saw tranny porn. I loved watching lesbians cuddle and kiss, and I liked seeing feminine boys do the same thing. As for intercourse, I wasn’t much into it, until I started playing with my bottom and got into anal porn. I still love seeing girls take it in the butt. Yum!
Caramel: I love all of that stuff. When you decided to enter the adult industry, was your plan to begin as a webcam broadcaster and to then contact major studios?
Morena: Well, I had been camming on and off for about four years , even when I was a male performer and with a girlfriend of mine at the time. When I started to Chaturbate in 2014, I got sad that I never made anything. I really made nothing as a trans girl! So I started performing as male again, even though I was full time for two years by then. When I got titties tho’, it was over. People wanted to see me! It wasn’t good enough, however. Why wasn’t I doing good like these other girls? I’d ask myself that a lot, and started noticing that it was because they did porn, they had fans, and people knew their name. So in October of last year, I knew that in order to continue enjoying my life without conventional work and staying at home, I’d have to do some porn. I never imagined what has come about, though, or that’d i’d love it so much.
Caramel: How did working with Grooby Productions which led to your debut with Soldier Boi develop?
Morena: Well, I noticed that the best girls are all Grooby Girls, and that if I wanted to shoot any quality porn, that they’d be the best to shoot with. Both Omar Wax and Radius Dark were talking to me, so I was excited when Soldier Boi came to me and was like, “let’s do a scene!” It was great and I’m happy with it. He’s got his own style and Omar was fun to work with. Radius Dark at the same time came to Florida and we filmed alltgirls.xxx. I absolutely love Radius and his work is legendary.
Caramel: No arguments from me on that. They’re both fantastic photographers. I love your current Chaturbate solo shows and I recently caught one of your performances with another one of my favorite young ladies, Chelsea Marie. That was incredible! Are there any performers you’d like to work with in the future that you’d like to mention?
Morena: Wow, too many to list! I would love to work with Robert Axel, I’d think it would be a very hot scene. I’d like to work with some cis women in the future as well as other tgirls. Working with Chelsea was like a dream. She is so top tier. I’d put her up there with Jane Marie and Venus Lux, and now we perform on cam together? I am so undeserving!
Caramel: Chelsea Marie, hostess of tschelseamarie.com and tschelseamarie.net blows my mind and I’m a proud subscriber of alltgirls.xxx. You’re both mesmerizing on that site. How do you feel about the status of the trans state of adult entertainment? Do you think it’s making a tremendous breakthrough right now, or a slow, steady crawl to mass exposure?
Morena: It’s exploding right now, I know Steven Grooby is a realist and he’s right. There isn’t a whole lot of work, but that will change too. More and more boys are ready to admit they want the cock, but we’re still not there yet. Porn in general is getting pretty mainstream, and the production values are at all time highs. I see us catching some of that blowback. Not to mention if we have more films like Buddy Wood is making, I can see tranny porn going strong in the long run.
Caramel: It’s taken so long and for a variety of reasons, but I totally agree. You never know what can set it off. Trans porn is finally blowing up big time. So many people have various opinions about Caitlyn Jenner today, I avoid taking sides about how well she’s doing with her mission, public statements, etc. When she came out, did you feel that it would be a positive impact on the LBGTQ community? Are there others in the community that you feel are making a tremendous impact? If so, who?
Morena: Well, I was more excited about Laura Jane Grace coming out, being on the cover of the Rolling Stone and all, and I even got to see her in Gainesville, FL. Caitlyn Jenner… Well she is as much a sister to me as any trans girl and I’m proud and happy for her. I think our side of the porn industry is getting some of that attention just because of all the attention being put to trans people in general.
Caramel: It’s all about exposure. How important do you feel Social Media is to your career?
Morena: It literally made my career. I would not be where I am right now without Twitter. It’s amazing. I went from watching these people to being in films with them. It’s truly amazing, and I have to thank Social Media for that. It also really helps connect with my fans on a personal level, and some fans have been like, absolutely amazing. I love them all!
Caramel: I can tell you do. What’s you favorite thing about performing live?
Morena: I like that I can see myself on the screen and also get live feedback from whomever is watching. There is a lot less pressure to preform, but I enjoy studio porn and the results from shooting maybe a little more.
Caramel: What did you like most about your debut studio performance and how did it feel when it first went online?
Morena: I was actually shocked because it came out literally like less than two weeks after it was shot. When Steven came on Twitter @GroobySteven and was like, “Here’s the next BIG thing!” which was a clever double entendre to his credit, I was like, no way, I just shot this like three days ago?
Caramel: That’s indeed fast and what a wonderful segue you’d laid the groundwork for. Morena, you have a big cock – a really big cock. You were the passive partner in your debut video with Soldier Boi, as all girls who perform with him are. It’s awesome to see you topping Mayumi Sparkles @TsMayumiSays and switching with Chelsea Marie on alltgirls.xxx. Would you describe yourself as more dominant or submissive, or as a switch?
Morena: I would have to go as switch. I’m equally passionate about bottoming as I am topping. I love taking hard cock in my tiny hole and feeling my big butt get pounded, but I also love topping and using my strength to make the other person know I’m dominant too, and I get what I want.
Caramel: Damn, what an arousing reply. Do you have any hobbies?
Morena: I play guitar and I can also play a few other instruments. Porn is kind of a huge hobby for me too, as in I watch it on a recreational level like anyone would watch television. Other than that I love cycling and exercising.
Caramel: I’m what you could describe as a bit of a kinkster and I was pleasantly surprised to find you were on FetLife. Are you serious about the fetish lifestyle and BDSM. If so, would you like to incorporate it into your professional work?
Morena: I can’t say that I wouldn’t, but I am not too strongly as into it as I used to be. I like some bondage and a few other things people would raise eyebrows, but as far as porn goes I think it just gives me more to work with and makes me less afraid to try anything.
Caramel: Would advice would you have for a trans who wants to follow in your footsteps?
Morena: Don’t judge yourself too harshly, if you have positive reception from fans, you’re already on the right track. Make sure you always put on a good show, a good face, and never let anyone see you cry. Show no weakness, and be strong, even though you’re probably getting plowed by big cocks. Be open and guarded at the same time, and realize that as a performer it’s like you are a character in a movie. The porn side of you is just a show and personality, you aren’t that person.
Caramel: Do you have any mentors?
Morena: I’d have to say Laura Jane Grace @LauraJaneGrace is a big mentor in my life, being a punk rocker from Florida who makes great music. That’s exactly what I wanted in life. I’m just a rockstar in my own right I guess!
Caramel: You certainly are. What kind of music are you into mostly?
Morena: When I say I like everything, I actually mean it. I know every country song on the radio, I play punk rock when I pick up a guitar, and I have an extensive Hip Hop playlist. My favorite composer is Beethoven and I have days where I only listen to Korn or Tool. Music is a very large part of what keeps me from going off the deep end.
Caramel: Awesome. Nothing beats an eclectic taste. Do you have any favorite books or movies?
Morena: I read books very sparingly, and it’s a shame because I honestly feel dumber because of it. In my house we have 3,000 or so movies, for real. We like movies, and hate cable. Currently, Idiocracy is a fav movie, in that vein anything sci fi and post-Dystopian really gets me going. Like Elysium, Surrogates, or AI.
Caramel: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
Morena: Hopefully with a big garden, a lifted truck, and a smaller waist! I’m just a simple girl from the backwoods, I just want to be happy and be around those that love me.
Caramel: Oh puhlease, you look ravishing. And thank you so much for this interview. I was such a pleasure.
Morena: Thanks for the interview Caramel, I hope to see you again at this year’s TEA (Transgender Erotica Awards) www.theteashow.com award show!
Caramel: I’ll be there and I’ll see you in March!
